Dani Haas lived in Southern Indiana until she began attending Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky in 1999.  There she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2003. Her nursing career began at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky working in a Transplant Intensive Care Unit and the Neurology Intensive Care Unit as a staff nurse. After a move to Lexington, Kentucky in 2005 she began working as a staff nurse in Open Heart Recovery at St. Joseph Healthcare. While living in Lexington she also held a management position of a small Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit.  In 2008 Dani and her family once again moved back to Louisville, Kentucky and she accepted a faculty position at Galen College of Nursing.

After discovering her love of teaching, she returned to university to pursue a Masters of Science in Nursing with an emphasis in Nursing Education from Spalding University in Louisville, Kentucky, which was completed in May 2013.  She earned the title, Certified Nurse Educator, by the National League for Nurses in 2014. Missing direct patient care, she returned to graduate school once again to pursue a Post-Masters Certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner, which was completed in May 2016. She is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and presently practices at Forefront Dermatology in Louisville, Kentucky. Dani also maintains an adjunct faculty position at Galen College of Nursing and serves as a mentor for new faculty entering the field of Nursing Education.

Dani is the proud mother of three beautiful children, Mason, Emma, and Elliott and the wife of Matthew A. Haas.
